Subjectivism explicitly makes consciousness rather than reality primary. Intrinsicism does the same thing implicitly, because the concepts that allegedly are intrinsic in reality cannot be experienced directly but must be reconstructed through the imagination or intuition. In the Objectivist view, in contrast, reality is primary, and concepts provide a bridge between reality and consciousness—reflecting our axiomatic understanding that reality exists and that we are conscious of it (pp. 1.2:1-5).
