What people describe as "many realities" can be better characterized as a single reality that can be viewed from many perspectives (see left). Naturally, reality is complex and multifaceted, and many of its aspects have greater significance in the lives of some individuals than others; however, we do not literally live in separate universes. 
It is also sometimes said that "reality is what we make of it." Now it is true that our thoughts may lead us to take actions that will eventually modify reality in significant ways. In this sense, tomorrow's reality will be, in important respects, what we make of it today. Nevertheless, at any given point in time, reality is what it is, regardless of our opinions about it.
