Praxeology's abstract approach also makes it an invaluable tool because it enables us to study human action dispassionately. Since the subject matter of human action is precisely what is most important to us as human beings, many of the issues that we shall address will evoke intense emotional prejudices among many people. Consequently, it is virtually impossible to arrive at a clear, unclouded understanding of them without such an objective methodology.

Although praxeology is abstract, it is not merely theoretical. Its conclusions are simply the practical consequences of the way in which people seek their subjective values, and these conclusions will later be found to have profound implications for the institutional structures of a society.
